Barry Island 10K Sunday 17 May 2026

The Barry Island 10K takes place on Sunday 17th May.  The race takes place on fully closed roads with a rewarding route showcasing all of the town’s most scenic seaside spots and recognisable landmarks and this means there are diversions to routes 94, 95 and 96.

From 09:30 until 12:00 routes 94, 95 & 96 will terminate at King Square. This means that main stops at Holton Road, The Waterfront (Morrisons) and Barry Island & Morrisons will not be served during these times.  Also, journeys during these times on route 96 will divert between Port Road West and Barry King Square not serving Colcot Square, Colcot Road, Jenner Road, Park Crescent or Broad Street as buses divert.

As the race progresses, from 12:00 until 13:00 routes 94, 95 & 96 will then be able to start and end at The Waterfront (Morrisons) so will continue to serve King Square and resume serving Holton Road.  The existing diversions to route 96 around western Barry remaining in place.

All journeys will resume their normal route from 13:00.
